My artwork combines three of my passions: Nature, Painting and Photography. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Michigan State University and a Master of Fine Art Education from Wayne State University. My main inspiration comes from my own garden. The garden has a wide array of flowers and several bird and butterfly feeding stations.

My hand colored photographs are created by taking black and white photographs and then hand coloring them using Marshal's oil paint. Many of my colored photographs are printed on handmade paper or canvas and then hand colored to create a painterly effect.

I want to draw my viewers into my pieces feeling as if they just stepped into a world they had not yet discovered. I hope my art inspires my viewers to share their own love of nature so we may all continue to observe, enjoy, and help preserve wildlife.
